Rituals 03:02
How is the party? Don’t mean to be lonely. All of you, Couldn’t believe me. Dawn was the scenery, Time stood still. Knock at the gates of, Your childhood memories. Leave this thing alone. It’s not worth the heartache, You had on the bad days. This is the one. Hide it from me. Hide it from me. Hide it from me, Go on. Hide it from me. Hide it from me. Hide it from me, Go on. Hide it from me. Hide it from me. Hide it from me, Go on. Hide it from me. Hide it from me. Hide it from me, Go on. Hide it from me. Hide it from me. Hide it from me, Go on.

One Mistake 01:29
It takes some time To answer for The showing of one mistake In certain times We gather towards The knowing of what remains I know it’s not worth moving When your heart is Up against the wall It takes some time To answer for The showing of one mistake

Four eyes wide Dream like me. Four eyes wide Dream like me. Four eyes wide Hope until dawn that we make it next time Verse 1 In time you’ll see it Like you’re looking in the mirror Sometimes it hurts just to breathe It’s fine And you’ll believe it Like that paper in your pocket Throw it off the deep end And forget this time Chorus 2 Dream like me. about

Midnight Garden is Nick Donlin and Zach Vouga, an electronic duo based in San Diego, CA. Nick and Zach have been writing music together for over a decade since they met in highschool. Through Midnight Garden, they cover a wide range of sound and aura. Moments of their catalog glisten with infectious electro-pop while others are drenched in atmospheric synthesizer explorations and dark, driving tonality. There are times when Midnight Garden feels nostalgic, evoking a sense of mourning or heartbreak with enough “pop” edge to strike a vibrant and masterful balance.

Their new album, Blue Tomorrows, is mostly about exploring relationships. Music generally always comes before lyrics and vocal melodies, but these themes and concepts were already knocking around their heads, subtly influencing the mood of the music itself.

Sonically, Midnight Garden has explored older sounds to create something new, breathing new life into old keyboards and machines to create an uncharted, otherworldly atmosphere, while trying to anchor the listener in something familiar, with pop influenced rhythms and lyrical themes.

Blue Tomorrows was written and recorded simultaneously. Nick and Zach's process has nudged them in this direction, and there’s not much demoing involved, at least in the traditional sense. The songs you hear on the record were often built from their early concepts, and key elements often remain unchanged from their original intent.
