I am not sure how we happened Im just so glad You’re my sunshine, my best friend Last night we got so drunk Talked of fucking up Those rich boys moving in With their soft dicks and shaved skin Yeah the ones who raise our rent Nice car ya fuck So down on luck Sometimes it’s just so hard To make art work some shit jobs with our friend Yeah it feels like We’re just fucking humps But at least we have passion So down on luck So sick of the suck
2.
Most of All 03:07
Megan, what does it mean To be a friend to someone new What does it say When daylight comes I’m still with you Can one change Am I changing Am I changing You know I’m sure I’ll try for you I hope the months before the fall Give us life and bring resolve And I want you most of all You have all you need I can’t believe A life so full And you still want me Megan, what does it mean? To be a friend With love so new I know the past does not dissolve Although, there's lost we find resolve And I want you most of all

Love You So 03:58
As the sun comes again He takes his time He’s a has been He wipes the sleep from his eyes No friends No surprise He’s so detached He’s always in his head All the words I have said He’ll misread Take your time And think it through Your friends are here They’ll wait for you Just know we love you so And we’ll always be there for you Another day no consistency No way to recognize feelings He can’t see nothing new That’s waiting just for you As if the world’ss just there to distract He’s always in his head All the words you have said Lack meaning Take a breath To present time We can talk some shit Or take a hit off mine we love you so And we will always be there for you
4.
Have you seen the sun What a beautiful day How am I doing? Oh me, I’m doing fucking great Have you seen the man He’s got it made He’s got clothes from around the world by a child slave Nah nah nah lala Nah nah nah lala Nah nah nah lala Nah nah nah lala Nah nah nah lala Nah nah nah lala Nah nah nah lala Nah nah nah lala Oh you don’t know them I think you should They’ve got a thousand pictures Doing everything you think is good Do you see world going up in flames I bike to the bar and have a reusable mug But how the fuck am I to blame Nah nah nah lala Nah nah nah lala Nah nah nah lala Nah nah nah lala Nah nah nah lala Nah nah nah lala Nah nah nah lala Nah nah nah lala

about

On “Sick of the Suck,” the opening track of Frankie Tillo’s self-titled EP, Tillo croons “I’m not sure how we happened…” The sentiment is appropriate, given that, musically, Tillo’s sound is most clearly defined by its reluctance to stick to single genre. Surf Rock, Jangle Pop, Lo-Fi and many other styles can be found in Tillo’s music. But it’s the oscillation between them (often over the course of a single song) that makes the songs interesting, and which makes the four tracks on Tillo’s EP feel bigger, more complete, more assured than an EP should feel.
